KPMG in Malta

Giles is a Partner at KPMG in Malta and has been with the Firm for the past 30 years. With more than 20 years of experience with KPMG specialising in audit and assurance within the iGaming and technology space, Giles has obtained extensive experience in this sector working with some of the world’s largest globally listed groups. At KPMG Giles also acts as a quality control reviewing partner on audit and assurance engagements including those pertaining to public interest entities.

Apart from being an audit and assurance leader, Giles has previously also acted as Chair of the SOQM Oversight Committee for the Malta Firm. Currently he also spearheads audit quality initiatives besides leading root-cause-analysis projects, sits on the Firm’s Executive Management Committee, is the country leader for Quality and Risk Management and is also the Firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance Principal.

Outside the Firm Giles is the deputy chair on the Ethics Committee at the Malta Institute of Accountants and also sits on the Gaming Committee of the same institute. He is a former lecturer in financial accounting and reporting and currently lectures in seminars organized by the Institute and KPMG on International Financial Reporting Standards, International Standards on Auditing and in Other Assurance and Related Services. Furthermore, Giles has participated and contributed to several leading conferences within the iGaming and Technology space.
