As I reflect on the last year, I’m extremely proud of our commitment to the greater Washington community. We provided robust support to local nonprofits through our time and talents as demonstrated in this annual report.
In addition to our amazing local efforts, I want to thank all of you that participated in the firmwide Community Impact Day on August 2nd. We had an incredible turnout with 1,769 KPMG employees volunteering which resulted in 3,532 total hours spent supporting our local community. This was the highest employee turnout from all the KPMG offices around the country! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 125th anniversary!
This year’s annual report illustrates our bold vision to continue supporting our community in a strategic and impactful way. We joined our nonprofit partners and courageously looked forward to make innovative plans to address the needs of our community.
I hope you will take a moment to interact with the report and think through the ways you can integrate yourself into our community impact efforts. I firmly believe that our greatest asset is our people. You all are the driving force behind these amazing community impact efforts. I urge you all to think critically about the legacy you’re creating and more broadly, the story you’re telling, here at KPMG.
I am so grateful to see your passion, commitment, and courage that has propelled us forward.
Together. For Better.
