David Allison
Senior Manager, Tax
David Allison joined KPMG LLP (KPMG) in October 2014 as a Senior Associate in the firm's Business Tax Services' Real Estate Group and was promoted to Manager in September 2015. Prior to joining KPMG, David worked at a regional accounting firm as a Tax Supervisor on the Real Estate & International Tax team. He has advised on multiple tax issues, including partnership structuring, tax provisions, partnership compensation, and corporate liquidations and conversions. David’s representative client list also includes a number private Real Estate Investment Trusts (“REITs”) as well as other private closely held real estate companies where he has advised on structuring and planning as it relates to international and tax exempt investors.
David joined the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice in July 2016 as a Rotational Manager and then as a full time Manager in November 2016. As part of the M&A partnerships transaction group, David works with “Up-C” IPO companies, tax equity partnerships, alternative energy companies, as well as private equity clients.
David has served as project leader with responsibility for planning, budgeting, and executing on various compliance and consulting engagements. He is experienced with:
