Tate is a partner in KPMG LLP’s Internal Audit Services practice in the Dallas office. He is the National Risk Consulting Leader for KPMG’s Energy Practice and part of the National Energy Leadership team. He has more than 25 years of experience in providing audit and consulting services, including enterprise risk assessments, operational reviews, business process reviews, Sarbanes-Oxley Act implementation and optimization, customer surveys, and key performance indicators and benchmarking studies. Tate’s current and past clients include some of the leading companies in the Energy industry.
Tate has led numerous engagements which included control assessments of risks associated with financial reporting controls, revenue, collections, treasury, logistics, inventory, procurement and accounts payable, construction, payroll, and sales functions. He has assisted clients with operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia/Pacific. Through serving Power and Utility clients throughout the US, Tate has developed a comprehensive view of business risks facing the industry and individual companies.
