Alan Barton
Partner, Mergers & Acquisitions Tax
Alan is a Tax partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice in KPMG’s Houston office. Alan is the national leader of KPMG’s National Projects Group. Alan has over 29 years of experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and bankruptcy tax planning. Alan also specializes in the areas of consolidated return group tax planning (including stock basis calculations and loss disallowance planning), earnings and profits calculations, net operating loss preservation and utilization planning (including section 382 ownership change planning) and corporate bankruptcy tax advisory.
