Dan is a Mergers and Acquisitions Tax partner in KPMG’s Partnership Transaction Group based in Washington DC. Dan joined KPMG in 2005 with the business tax services practice where he focused on private equity but served a broad range of corporate and partnership clients from start-up companies to large private entities and public entities.
Professional and industry experience
- As an M&A professional Dan provides advice to strategic and private equity clients. Dan is a full service M&A tax advisor for private equity groups for the entire ownership life cycle including fund structuring, providing due diligence, acquisition structuring, ongoing operational tax advice and disposition structuring. He has experience in several industries including media and communications, real estate, financial services and a diverse group of service providers.
- Dan is also a founder of KPMG’s Partnership Transactions Group, which focuses on tax and structuring consultation related to a variety of complex partnership transactions. In his role with the Partnership Transaction Group Dan assists clients with effectuating complex partnership transactions including assisting clients pursuing IPOs and secondary offerings using special purpose acquisition companies (i.e., SPACs), umbrella partnership C corporation (i.e., Up-C) and YieldCo structures.
