Dean is a partner in KPMG’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice, specializing in tax issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate restructurings for both domestic and inbound/outbound transactions. Dean has over 24 years of experience at KPMG and several years of experience in private industry. Throughout the past 21 years, he has advised on numerous transactions providing both tax due diligence and tax structuring advice for Fortune 100 companies and private equity firms.
Dean has led and liaised with international teams from various countries on buy-side and vendor due diligence engagements. He has spoken before the Joint Committee of Taxation on infrastructure tax matters and its impact to proposed legislation. In addition, Dean consults on consolidated return issues including stock basis and earnings and profits studies for large consolidated tax groups.
