Mark Belford
Managing Director, Consumer & Retail Investment
Mark is a Managing Director for KPMG CF LLC and co-heads the Firm’s Consumer & Retail Corporate Finance. Mark is based in the New York office.
He has more than 25 years of experience providing a broad range of investment banking and advisory services, including Mergers & Acquisitions advisory, Capital Structure & Defense advisory, Private Placements and Fairness Opinions. Areas of focus include apparel, footwear & accessories, specialty retail, ecommerce, and consumer products.
Prior to joining KPMG, Mark was a Managing Director with Janney Montgomery Scott where he co-led the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Group. Previously, Mark served as an Executive Director in J.P. Morgan’s Retail & Apparel Investment Banking Group, covering the global apparel industry and mid-cap specialty retailers. Prior to rejoining J.P. Morgan in 2005, he was a Principal at Stevenson Partners, a private equity partnership, with responsibility for the firm’s Consumer & Retail portfolio from 2001 to 2005. Previously, Mark was a Vice President with Lehman Brothers in the firm’s Global Retail & Consumer Investment Banking Group (1998-2001), an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s Consumer Investment Banking Group (1995-1998), and a Financial Analyst in Salomon Smith Barney’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group (1993-1995).
Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from Emory University.
