Tatiana Bespalova

Tatiana is an International and M&A Tax partner for KPMG in Thailand. She has significant experience in advising multinational companies and institutional investors on complex cross-border transactions and leading buy-side and sell-side tax mandates in Thailand and Australia.
Prior to joining KPMG Thailand in 2014, Tatiana spent nearly a decade with KPMG in Australia. Tatiana focuses on supporting foreign companies in investing and operating in Thailand, including advising on market entry issues, acquisition and restructuring transactions, regulatory considerations, exit strategies, and ongoing Thai tax assistance. Tatiana has led numerous Thai and pan-Asian buy-side and sell-side mandates, assisting foreign investors with due diligence, structuring, and SPA negotiations.
Tatiana has advised many multinational enterprises, including Thailand’s Board of Investment, on tax incentives. She also has significant experience assisting clients setting up international/regional head offices and hubs. She has assisted many European and U.S. consumer goods multinational enterprises with structuring and implementation of these types of projects and obtaining tax incentives.
Tatiana also focuses on developments in digital economy taxation and impact on digital businesses. She currently leads the Digital Economy Taxation practice in Thailand. Since the first proposal to introduce e-commerce tax law in Thailand, which was announced by the government in June 2017, Tatiana has been at the forefront of these developments and industry impact.
Tatiana is part of the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) and the Taxation and Legal Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT), which focus on taxation and legal developments in Thailand and foreign investment advocacy.
Tatiana holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a chartered tax adviser for the Taxation Institute, both in Australia.
