Lisa Blackburn

Lisa is a partner in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP). She has more than 20 years of experience providing integrated audit and audit support services. In her role with DPP, Lisa contributes to KPMG’s guidance for interpreting and applying accounting standards for use by account professionals. Her experience includes performing technical analysis and review of accounting positions; developing and instructing trainings for internal and external audiences; and performing integrated audits of primarily financial services companies

Previously, Lisa served as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the SEC, her responsibilities included consulting with registrants on accounting and reporting matters, developing rule proposals under the federal securities laws, and serving as a liaison with banking regulators and the accounting standards-setting bodies.
