Matt is a Partner in KPMG’s Florida office, specializing in federal tax accounting methods and credit services (AMCS). He has more than 16 years of experience (including 18 months in KPMG’s Washington National Tax AMCS practice) in assisting both public and private companies with federal tax compliance and consulting matters. Matt also leads KPMG’s Southeast tax accounting methods practice.
Matt is responsible for assisting a broad range of clients with issues relating to tax accounting methods and credits including research credit, fixed assets, inventory and income and expense recognition. Matt also has extensive experience working with the Section 199, Domestic Production Deduction. Matt’s current and past clients include leaders in the retail, manufacturing, software, and healthcare industries.
Matt is a frequent instructor on tax accounting method matters at KPMG’s national training programs and he has authored a number of articles in The Tax Adviser.
Matt has a BS degree and a Masters of Taxation degree from the University of Central Florida.
