David Buckley
Managing Director, Federal Advisory
Mr. Buckley leads KPMG’s Federal Forensic practice, with primary responsibility for providing investigative and integrity advisory services to civilian agencies within the Federal government, entailing fraud risk assessments, compliance and ethics program development and integrity monitoring. Previously, Buckley was appointed by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as CIA Inspector General, where he served from October 2010 to February 2015. Prior to joining KPMG, Buckley served over 34 years, gaining broad federal government experience in both the executive and legislative branches. He also enjoys over 3 years of private sector consulting experience. Mr. Buckley is an expert in independent oversight, risk management, internal controls, and internal security. He is a leader with experience in managing organizations and teams and in conducting criminal and counterintelligence investigations and operations, administrative investigations, financial and asset tracking, program fraud investigations, program regulation, compliance and oversight, detection of corruption and insider threat, program fraud and waste, homeland and national security, policy, regulation and legislation.
