Darren Burton
Vice Chair, Human Resources
Darren H. Burton is the vice chair of Human Resources of KPMG LLP and a member of its management committee; where he drives people strategies for more than 31,000 employees and partners.
Darren is responsible for developing the firm’s people strategies and all human resources activities, including compensation, benefits, campus and experienced hire recruiting, training, talent management and diversity. He works closely with KPMG’s leadership teams to advance and build upon the firm’s already strong culture and employee engagement, while also ensuring that the HR team is positioned to support the evolving needs of the business and the workforce of the future.
He is a results-oriented Human Resources executive with over 20 years of experience leading HR programs and strategies for large employee-focused organizations and has a proven track record for achievements, particularly in talent management, employee engagement and performance development. Darren possesses a demonstrated ability to assess organizational needs and develop human resources strategies and initiatives to deliver business results. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of merger and acquisition activity (due diligence through integration) and has found success in both union and nonunion environments.
Over the course of his career, Darren has become an experienced leader in multiple industries: aerospace and defense, business process outsourcing, chemicals, consumer products, information technology and professional services.
