Alejandro Cervantes

Alejandro Cervantes has more than 24 years of experience as a transfer pricing consultant, advising multinational and domestic companies, mainly in the maquiladora, manufacturing, construction, and mining industries. His experience also extends to a variety of other industries, including those in the entertainment media, consumer products, automotive, education, and services sectors.

In addition to his role as lead transfer pricing partner for Mexico and Central America, Alejandro is the lead partner for KPMG International's LATAM transfer pricing delivery center — Transfer Pricing Center of Excellence. He is also the lead transfer pricing partner for the manufacturing industry for KPMG in Mexico.

Over his career, Alejandro has advised numerous companies on transfer pricing documentation requirements according to Mexico's transfer pricing regulations. He has assisted with the negotiation of more than 500 unilateral and bilateral advance pricing agreements for maquilas as well as companies in other industries. In addition, he has helped numerous companies with transfer pricing audits and more than 30 companies with meeting BEPS-related compliance obligations. 

Alejandro joined KPMG in 2011 and is a regular presenter on transfer pricing matters at firm and industry events and training programs. He is a member of the Maquiladora Association and the International Fiscal Association. He earned a master's degree in international taxation from Universidad  Panamericana and a BA degree in public accountancy from Universidad  Iberoamericana.
