Steven D’Antuono is a Forensic Advisory Services Partner at KPMG, based in Washington, DC. He is recognized as an accomplished law enforcement and security executive with over 26 years of law enforcement expertise as a special agent at the highest levels of the FBI and DOJ. Steve has successfully led numerous high-profile sensitive national security, criminal and cyber investigations, both domestic and international, intelligence matters, and crisis events. Before joining KPMG, Steve led two FBI Field Offices as the Special Agent in Charge for the State of Michigan and in his most recent role as the Assistant Director in Charge of the Washington Field Office. In both field office leadership roles, Steve directed the efforts of his personnel in the office’s numerous terrorism, cyber, criminal, intelligence and counterintelligence investigations including some of the most high profile investigations being worked by the FBI and DOJ.

Steve has led two of the FBI’s largest Joint Terrorism Task Forces and has been responsible for leading the FBI’s responses to some of the most notable and high-profile terrorism, active shooter, and civil disturbance events in the past two decades. He also has extensive experience in disaster and crisis event preparation, including participating in a plethora of full scale and tabletop exercises with multiple local, state, federal, military, and tribal authorities.
