Vice Chair, Growth and Strategy

Lisa Daniels is the Vice Chair of Growth and Strategy at KPMG LLP. In this role, she is responsible for leading KPMG’s Total Firm growth strategy, anticipating and responding to signals of change in the marketplace and aligning the firm’s investments in innovative new services and capabilities.

Prior to this role, Lisa served as the global lead partner for one of KPMG’s largest technology accounts. She also served as the office managing partner for KPMG’s San Francisco major market, where she oversaw KPMG’s Bay Area and Northwest markets. In this role, she was responsible for leading market strategy, developing and inspiring over 3,000 team members across seven states, delivering an outstanding client care experience and driving the values of the firm. Other previous roles include managing partner of KPMG’s Silicon Valley and Phoenix offices and partner-in-charge of KPMG’s Midwest Internal Audit and Risk Compliance practice.

Lisa has over 30 years of professional experience with an extensive background assisting global organizations in identifying, understanding, measuring, and reporting business and technology-related risks, as well as performing financial and systems audits. 

Lisa speaks regularly to industry organizations about leading practices in areas such as assessing and managing enterprise risks, establishing a high-performance culture, and creating an inclusive environment. She has also published several articles, including “The Changing Role of the CFO,” “Identity and Access Management,” “The Globalization of Middle Market Companies” and “How to Make Silicon Valley Boards More Diverse.” 

Lisa is passionate about her community and has served on several not-for-profit and industry boards, including American Heart Association’s Go Red Executive Committee, Bay Area Council Executive and Audit Committees, California Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, San Francisco Ballet Board of Trustees and Audit Committee, Silicon Valley Leadership Group Executive Committee, Young Presidents Organization San Francisco Gold Chapter, and the Financial Women of San Francisco Leadership Circle.  Lisa currently serves on the boards of Women Corporate Directors Global Foundation and the KPMG Political Action Committee.

A recognized leader in both the Arizona and California markets, Lisa has been named one of Arizona Business Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business, Phoenix Business Journal’s Most Admired Leaders, San Francisco Business Times 2018 Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business, CalCPA Women to Watch, Great Place to Work 2020 For All Leaders and, San Francisco Business Times’ Power 100: The Bay Area's most influential business leaders.

Under Lisa’s leadership, KPMG was recognized as one of the 100 Best Companies in Arizona, a Top 25 Workplace for Women, and Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. 

Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and is a certified public accountant in Arizona and California.
