Lane leads KPMG’s transfer pricing practice in the Washington DC Metro region, as well as heading up KPMG’s transfer pricing industry efforts in the aerospace and defense sectors. Prior to joining KPMG, Lane was a principal at another Big 4 firm, where he led its transfer pricing practice in Michigan and Northwest Ohio, as well as being its global leader for transfer pricing services in the automotive sector. In addition to his client-serving roles, Lane spent several years at Amgen Inc., the California-based global biotechnology company, where he was responsible for its in-house transfer pricing function.

- Lane has 20+ years of transfer pricing experience, during which time he has worked with clients in industries ranging from life sciences and technology to consumer products and the industrial sector. His recent engagements include:
- Identifying and implementing the appropriate transfer pricing policies and processes as part of complex tax and/or operational restructurings.
- Assisting with bilateral advance pricing agreements and mutual agreement procedures.
- Transfer pricing controversy defense and management at the field-exam level.
- Preparation and maintenance of global transfer pricing documentation for multinationals
- Transfer pricing planning associated with intangibles, including intercompany licensing and cost sharing.
- Optimization of G&A cost service charge-outs, including determining the nature and treatment of certain high-value services.
