Chad B. Gazzillo

Chad is currently an audit partner in KPMG’s Philadelphia Office concentrating in the investment management and funds industry.  Chad has 17 years of experience in the investment management industry providing professional services to the complete spectrum of investment management clients, including investment advisers, registered Mutual Funds, Business Development Companies, private equity funds, and other private investment vehicles.  Chad often provides regulatory and accounting updates into current developments impacting investment companies and investment advisers, including fair value processes and procedures, consolidation matters impacting investment managers and investment companies, and regulatory compliance matters.   Chad served a two year rotation in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice where he counseled engagement teams in the investment management practice on technical accounting and auditing matters.  Chad is currently the firm’s representative on the AICPA Asset Manager Revenue Recognition Taskforce where he currently serves as its Chair.  Chad is also a KPMG designated SEC reviewing partner.

Prior to joining the Department of Professional Practice, Chad spent nearly three years in the Division of Investment Management’s Office of Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a Professional Accounting Fellow.  In his capacity at the SEC, Chad worked with many of the industry’s largest and most pioneering companies and provided guidance to registrants, their external counsel, and their auditors on complex accounting, auditing, and regulatory matters.
