Cameron is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s international tax practice, Cameron regularly advises on US tax planning and structuring for cross-border transactions and US inbound investments.
In his practice, Cameron regularly serves as U.S. tax project lead for a number of large asset and fund managers, including private equity funds, real estate funds and hedge funds, as well as multi-national corporations. Cameron’s has significant experience in cross-border transaction structuring– including assisting European asset managers and investors with respect to the U.S. tax considerations relevant to their U.S. investors, U.S. investments and U.S. business activities. Specifically, Cameron has assisted with fund formation and restructuring advice for varying fund types and investment strategies, including treaty-based platforms, separately managed accounts, loan origination and seasoning, and real estate-based credit.
In addition, Cameron advises on US international tax matters relating to entity formations, merges & acquisitions, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, inversions, investments subject to anti-deferral regimes, and tax-efficient repatriation.
Prior to joining KPMG, Cameron was a corporate attorney in the emerging markets practice of a European-based law firm.
