David Hilton is a managing director within the Forensic group at KPMG and is currently the Operations Leader for KPMG's Risk and Compliance service line.

David specializes in investigations, ethics, and the development of organizational compliance programs. David has experience in running employee fraud, misconduct and corruption investigations in many jurisdictions around the world. David has also run forensic technology investigations and run royalty reviews as part of intellectual property compliance programs. David has prepared reports for submission to court including the High Court in the UK. He has previously been seconded to the British Government in the Serious Fraud Office where he prepared analysis and financial evidence submissions and conducted interviews of witnesses under different legislative powers and in a wide variety of contexts.

He has extensive experience assisting international agencies including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Inter-American Development Bank, United Nations, UNICEF, and the World Intellectual Property Office. David is also an adjunct professor of Forensic Accounting at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
