Managing Principal, Chicago, National Ignition Leader

Linda Imonti is managing principal for KPMG LLP’s Chicago office, the firm’s second-largest with more than 2,600 partners and professionals. Additionally, Linda serves as the National Ignition Leader, where she leads the firm’s strategy to deliver differentiated, innovative client experiences through our Ignition Centers.

She is focused on growing our multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that we are delivering high-quality and valuable services enabled by innovative thinking and technologies. In addition, she is focused on earning the trust of leading organizations, the public and the communities we serve. Beyond Chicago, Linda facilitates greater teaming and collaboration with eight Midwest markets as the Chicago Major Market Hub Leader and served as member of KPMG’s U.S. Board of Directors, from 2015-2020.

Known as a growth leader and innovator, Linda has over 30 years of experience working with clients to develop information-centric organizations by leveraging data for key insights and transformation. She has served a broad range of multinational clients, leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across the country and globally. Her depth of experience includes business transformation efforts for clients in areas such as finance transformation and operations alignment of enabling technologies, business intelligence, data, and analytics. She applies her transformation and innovation knowledge and leadership across industries in technology-driven finance transformations and leverages innovative technology and assets to drive business optimization and value.

Linda has earned a reputation for building business groups inside organizations, driving those teams to record growth and exceeding performance expectations. Early in her career she joined a Big 8 accounting firm where she built two practices around technology- driven finance transformation. She carried that experience into practices at another Big 8 firm and at KPMG, where she established a national and global start-up practice for Business Intelligence.

Linda has authored numerous articles on the analytics field and is a frequent speaker on business intelligence, information strategy, big data, and analytics. She is also an advocate for diversity in the workplace, having served as the partner champion for our Pride Network; and she is part of KPMG’s Accelerate 2025 task force, an initiative focused on ensuring more individuals from underrepresented groups choose KPMG as their employer of choice, build careers at KPMG and advance to leadership positions within the firm and the profession.

Linda serves as a board member for the American Heart Association, Chicago Metro; Civic Committee; The Chicago Network; The Executives’ Club of Chicago; United Way of Metro Chicago; and World Business Chicago. She also chaired the American Heart Association’s 2020 Chicago Heart Ball and previously served as a board member for Chicago United, Civic Consulting Alliance and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Consulting Magazine recognized Linda with the Women’s Leadership Award and she has been recognized as one of Crain’s Chicago Business’ Notable Women Executives, a 2020 Power Woman by Sheridan Road Magazine, a Top 15 Business Women in Illinois by the National Diversity Council, and a Women Leader of Excellence by the Colorado Women’s Leadership Coalition.
