Vinod Kalloe
KPMG EMA Regional Tax Policy Leader
Vinod Kalloe is the KPMG EMA Regional Tax Policy Leader and based in the KPMG Meijburg & Co. office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. With the current debate on multinational companies and aggressive tax planning, both in the public domain and across international organizations such as the European Union (EU), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the United Nations, Vinod translates regulatory developments into risk and opportunities analyses for multinational companies. These developments include unilateral and multilateral (EU/OECD) measures, such as EU state aid proceedings, that may affect existing and future tax planning, transfer pricing policies, and tax reputations.
Before joining KPMG, Vinod was a senior policy adviser with the European Commission in Brussels from 2004 to 2009. He was responsible for developing tax policy in international direct taxation relating to tax incentives and fiscal state aid, which involved evaluating the corporate tax laws of all 27 EU Member States. Between 1998 and 2004, Vinod was a senior policy adviser on international and EU taxation with the Dutch Ministry of Finance.
