Tracy Kenny

Based in Tysons Corner, Tracy has over 30 years of experience with KPMG, including 20 years as an Audit partner. Tracy has served clients in a variety of industries, including professional services, technology, retail and manufacturing, as well as those that are capital intensive such as transportation and satellite companies.
Throughout her career, Tracy has worked with both privately and publicly held companies ranging in size from start-ups to Fortune 200. She has provided services related to public and private offerings of debt and equity, including initial public offerings. Tracy’s extensive experience includes assisting and advising clients on filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, performing audits of internal control over financial reporting as required by Sarbanes-Oxley section 404, working with clients who have undertaken significant restructurings of operations and debt, advising clients on complex accounting matters related to topics such as purchase accounting and revenue recognition, and assisting clients with financial due diligence related to prospective acquisition targets
Tracy is highly active in the community, serving on the Virginia Tech Accounting Department Advisory Board and the Advisory Council for the Virginia Tech Pamplin School of Business. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of D.C, and the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, whose mission is to present and create excellent and innovative performing arts programs for the enrichment, education and enjoyment of diverse audiences and participants. Tracy is the past president of a not-for-profit organization providing therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with disabilities, an organization which she continues to support in an advisory capacity. Tracy also serves on the American Heart Association “Go Red For Women” golf tournament committee and is active with KPMG’s Family For Literacy initiatives, among others.
