Florence Lam

Florence Lam is a Senior Manager in KPMG LLP (KPMG)’s Trade and Customs practice. During her 12+ years in the trade and customs field, Florence’s professional experience has spanned various trade industry sectors.  She recently returned to the U.S. from a multi-year placement with KPMG’s Asia-Pacific practice, based in Hong Kong. Florence has significant experience working with U.S importers and manufacturers and vendors based throughout Asia.

While at KPMG, Florence has assisted a range of companies on trade and customs issues. The services include advising on first sale strategy implementation, import and export compliance, customs valuation, supply chain security, duty refund opportunities, and special trade programs. Florence’s client work represents a variety of industries, including the apparel, manufacturing, electronics, and commodity trading sectors.

Before joining KPMG, Florence worked in the Trade and Customs industry providing consultative services for the business units, affiliates and divisions of an international trading company.  Florence also worked as a trade analyst for a mid-sized U.S. importer/exporter handling the practical application and enforcement of U.S. import/export requirements. Florence first began her career in customs brokerage facilitating customs entry clearance and brokerage oversight.
