Liz is an audit partner in KPMG’s Tyson’s Corner office. Liz has more than 27 years of experience with KPMG, including 15 years as an audit partner. She has served public and non-public clients in the financial services, healthcare, transportation, insurance, and manufacturing industries.
Professional and industry experience
Liz’s experience includes:
- Leading $8 million annual SOX 404 engagement for a large financial services company, leading a team of over 50 individuals.
- Leading audit of $4 billion government contractor including the audit of internal controls.
- Serving as the lead audit partner on $2 billion health insurance company. Leads a team of professionals in issuing audit opinions under US GAAP and Statutory Accounting Practices.
- Serving as an audit partner on a $2 billion transportation company. Responsibilities include execution of the financial statement audit and supervision of a team of over 20 professionals.
- Working with private equity firms and their portfolio entities. Responsible for the audit of the portfolio entities as well as evaluating the fair value of the portfolio entities for purposes of the funds' financial statements.
- Extensive experience in acquisition accounting and divestitures.
- Auditing several global clients under US GAAP and IFRS. Responsible for the coordination of multiple teams both domestically and internationally.
- Leads the local division of KPMG’s Executive Women’s Leadership Program. Responsible for coordination of leadership training for over 40 women annually.
- Active fundraiser and participant in various charities including the Washington Ballet, the ALS Association and Junior Achievement.
