Jeffrey C. LeSage
Americas Vice Chairman, Tax
Jeffrey C. LeSage is the Americas Vice Chairman for KPMG’s Tax practice, where he oversees a team of more than 10,000 partners and professionals across all tax disciplines—federal, international, state and local, as well as specialty practices such as mergers and acquisitions, economic and valuation services, and global mobility services.
Prior to his current position, Jeff served as both the U.S. national managing partner and East regional managing partner for Tax services. He also held the area managing partner role for KPMG’s Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions between 2003 and 2008.
In addition to these roles, Jeff has held several other leadership positions during his more than 30-year tenure at KPMG, including the global partner in charge of KPMG’s International Corporate Services (ICS) practice. Based out of New York, he led an international team of more than 1,500 tax professionals in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific who provided international tax services to U.S.- and foreign-based companies. As the global ICS leader from 1998 to 2003, Jeff grew the practice by nearly threefold, helping establish its strong position in the industry.
Jeff joined KPMG in 1986 and was named to the firm’s partnership in 1992. He began his career in 1982 in Philadelphia with another major accounting firm. Over the span of his career, Jeff has focused on serving multinational corporations and publicly held clients, primarily in the international tax discipline. Although he has worked extensively in the outbound international tax arena, Jeff has significant experience with inbound matters as well. His clients are primarily Fortune 1000 companies.
A certified public accountant in Florida and New York, Jeff is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting (summa cum laude) from Villanova University and is a member of the Villanova University Provost’s Board.
