Advisory Managing Director, Forensic
Karen is a Director in KPMG’s Advisory Services practice with more than 12 years of Forensic Advisory experience. Currently she provides regulatory compliance and investigative services for attorneys and corporate management, typically under scrutiny by DOJ and SEC, on a variety of matters including all types of investigations, with specific focus on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act “FCPA” / Anti-Bribery and Corruption (“ABC”) matters including ABC investigations, independent monitor assessments, risk assessments, third party distributor assessments and pre/post acquisition due diligence. Additional experience with state and city government agencies, earnings management investigations, accounting misappropriations, business disputes, contract compliance, pharmaceutical co-promote contracts, and other related issues. Karen is also trained in providing Corporate Integrity Due Diligence services to clients through KPMG’s proprietary corporate intelligence solution, Astrus.
In addition to client service engagement experience, Karen received the Local Chairman’s Award of distinction for the Pennsylvania business unit and was the only Director in Forensics nationally to receive the distinction that year. She has been nominated to and selected for participation in KPMG’s Institute of Executive Leadership for Women and recently completed participating in the Philadelphia Forum of Executive Women mentor program. Karen has co-authored the Firm methodology for providing ABC Third Party Intermediary Assessments.
