Braden is a Partner in the KPMG LLP Deal Advisory group and has over eighteen years of experience advising clients on a wide range of topics, including the last 10 years focused on transaction related advisory services. Braden is based in Denver and previously worked in San Francisco and New York, serving in a variety of capacities within KPMG’s Deal Advisory and Private Equity groups. Braden also spent three years in KPMG Zurich’s Capital Markets group where he provided a wide variety of audit and advisory services to multinational clients. Before moving to Zurich, Braden started his career in the Denver office of KPMG where he served several global clients, most recently acting as an audit manager of corporate financial statement audits and SOX internal controls audits.

Professional and Industry Experience

  • Braden has a wide range of advisory experience managing cross-border and cross-functional teams. He has managed projects to assist clients with financial due diligence on target acquisitions; sell-side diligence and divestiture preparation; transactional accounting and reporting matters; IFRS and US GAAP technical matters; accounting conversions; and business process and internal controls improvement.
  • As a result of his extensive experience in assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, Braden specializes in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence and advising on various accounting matters encountered in business combinations. He has led the day-to-day efforts on advisory projects of all sizes, including some of the firm’s largest and most complex mandates in the U.S. and Europe. 
  • Braden works closely with colleagues in KPMG’s Strategy and Integration/Separation practices to advise clients throughout the investment lifecycle; including M&A strategy development and target identification, synergy and target operating model assessments, diligence, deal close, and post-close integration and support.
  • As a result of his work with various investors/businesses in the consumer products and industrial manufacturing sectors, Braden is one of KPMG Deal Advisory’s sector leaders for the Western region.
  • In addition, Braden has over seven years of experience providing professional audit services to large multinational entities in accordance with PCAOB requirements, U.S. GAAP, and IFRS.
