Steve Massed is a member of the International Tax group of KPMG's Washington National Tax (WNT) practice and specializes in cross-border transactions. Previously, he was part of WNT's M&A Tax group. Steve advises KPMG clients on a wide array of international corporate tax matters, including cross-border reorganizations and spin-offs, inversions, U.S. income tax treaty application, subpart F income and foreign tax credit planning, and debt-to-equity analysis.
Steve is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association Section on Taxation, and the D.C. Bar Association Section on Taxation. Steve earned a BS degree from the University of New Haven. He also holds both an MBA degree and a JD degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he served on the Pittsburgh Tax Review. In addition, he holds an LLM degree in taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center.
