Responsible for managing a wide range of valuation engagements:

  • Perform business enterprise valuations for privately-held companies and subsidies of publicly-held companies.
  • Conduct valuations of intangible assets such as customer relationships, in-process R&D, proprietary software and technology, non-competition agreements, trade names, franchise rights, assembled workforce, FCC licenses, favorable / unfavorable contracts, and goodwill. 
  • Perform and publish thought leadership on inventory valuation.
  • Experienced in performing valuations of financial assets such as loans, leases, swaps and other instruments.

Valuations support clients with a variety of regulatory requirements:

  • Financial reporting valuation engagements for business combinations (ASC 805), impairment testing (ASC 350), and other estimations of fair value under ASC 820. 
  • Tax reporting engagements include purchase price allocations under IRC 338 and 1060, global business restructuring transactions, and other estimations of fair market value under Revenue Ruling 59-60.
  • Support KPMG’s Audit practice in reviews of third party valuations (SAS 101, SAS 73 and SAS 57).

Researched latest regulations issued by standard setters (FASB, IVSC) and guiding bodies (SEC, AICPA, AF), responded to inquiries regarding complex valuation issues from offices across KPMG’s national valuation practice, and authored internal firm literature providing guidance on emerging valuation topics.
