Joseph Mazzella

Joe is a Manager in the New York office of the KPMG Cyber Security Services practice and has spent the past five years focusing on insider threat risk management, regulatory response and remediation and quantitative and qualitative risk assessment.
Joe has substantial experience supporting organizations with assessing, building, operationalizing, and running insider threat programs for his clients. Joe has also been helping various clients achieve their target state cyber maturity and compliance levels through assessment and remediation of complex cyber security issues and initiatives.
In addition to his role at KPMG, Joe also serves as an adjunct professor at CUNY John Jay College teaching senior level cyber security courses covering topics around cyber risk management, identity and access management, network security and insider threat.
While Joe’s primary focus is in the financial species sector, he has substantial cross-industry experience within the retail, power and utilities, automotive manufacturing, and technology industries.
