Principal, International Tax & Value Chain Management

Matt McNeill, a member of the KPMG Value Chain Management practice, is focused on aligning businesses’ global tax planning with their operating model to reduce risk and deliver additional value to stakeholders. He has approximately 14 years of tax experience within Big 4 accounting firms and a Fortune 100 corporate tax department. Matt is also a leader within KPMG Tax ESG practice.

Matt advises multinational corporations on designing and implementing tax-efficient supply chains and including tax in business decisions and transactions. He specializes in post-acquisition integration, IP planning, international tax policy, taxation of the digital economy, digital transformation, and subpart F. Matt has extensive experience in the technology industry, with a particular focus on software and semiconductor companies. In his role within the Tax ESG practice, he advises clients on their tax strategy, operating model, and reporting considerations associated with increasing calls for corporate tax transparency.

Matt has BA degrees in international relations and history from University of California, San Diego, a JD degree from Boston University School of Law, and an LLM degree in taxation from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
