Marlo is an Audit Partner in KPMG Dallas office. She has more than 30 years of experience providing financial statement and internal control audit services as well as due diligence services, merger integration and Sarbanes Oxley implementation.
Marlo’s primary emphasis has been in the industrial and consumer products industries, as well as the software and technology sectors. In addition to advising and assisting companies with initial public offerings and registration of equity and debt securities, she also has experience with 1934 Act filings.
Marlo was a member of the Department of Professional Practice in 2013 and 2014, KPMG’s national resource center for technical accounting, auditing, and SEC filing matters. She has advised engagement teams on complex technical accounting and auditing matters on topics such as business combinations, stock compensation, SEC reporting matters, revenue recognition, deficiency assessment and other ICOFR related issues. In addition, she participated in the development the firm’s audit methodology and oversaw PCAOB inspections. Marlo currently serves as an IFRS reviewing partner, as well as an ESG technical resource.
Marlo was in KPMG Tokyo, Japan office serving as the audit partner on the audits of subsidiaries of large multi-national clients. In addition, she assisted the U.S. Capital Markets Group and performed the U.S. GAAP and SEC reviews of several U.S. registrants. While in Tokyo, she was also a key member of the U.S. GAAP advisory desk where she was responsible for advising engagement teams and clients on complex accounting, auditing and SEC reporting matters.
