Walid Mnif is a Director Advisory, Climate Risk Data and Analytics, in KPMG LLP, with over 10 years of experience in quantitative and statistical modeling. His focus has been on the development and implementation of climate risk analytics & quantification methodologies for financial institutions.
Before joining KPMG, Walid was a Senior Advanced Analytics Manager within Risk Management Group at TD Bank. He led the U.S Wholesale and Operational Risk Model Development team, responsible for allowance and stress testing models under U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions.
Walid holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. His Ph.D. research was on climate change with a particular focus on the cap-and-trade markets as a policy instrument to spur the transition to a net zero economy. Walid holds an Executive Certificate in Advancing Sustainability from NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business.
