Steven J. Morrison

Steve Morrison is a Director of KPMG’s Cyber Response Services where he serves as an expert witness and subject matter professional in Computer Forensics, Incident Response, and Electronic Discovery. Based in San Francisco, Steve oversees and directs complex forensic engagements consisting of investigations, digital evidence recovery, electronic discovery management services, computer forensic analysis, complex data analysis, and computer emergency response services.

Mr. Morrison is an experienced investigator with over 20 years of technical experience in systems administration, network engineering, information security, incident response, computer forensics, and electronic discovery. Originally trained in computer forensics by a founding member of the NCIS Computer Crimes Investigation Group, Steve is also a former information security manager at a US-based multinational financial services company and a former head of the global security incident response team at a European-based multinational financial services firm.

With a unique depth and breadth of technical skills and knowledge, Steve has been called upon to testify on a range of matters, identify the nature and extent of data breaches, combat hackers in real-time, investigate allegations of intellectual property theft, reverse engineer the inner workings of complex systems, and assist in the discovery process of many litigations.

Mr. Morrison is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds B.S. in Business Administration from University of Southern California.
