Haunani H. Nakabara

Haunani is a tax senior manager in Ignition Tax - Digital. She also has more than 5 years of experience in corporate and flow through entities income tax compliance.

Haunani leads the deployment of Intelligent Automation solutions for Ignition Tax.

She was previously responsible for supporting tax technology users and testing and reviewing requirements for internally developed tax applications.  She also managed the deployment of KPMG tax applications.

Formerly, she was responsible for reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns, consolidated returns, multi-state returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates as well as managing the teams who prepare these items.   Haunani’s past clients include entities in the information technology, real estate, retail, and manufacturing industries. 

In addition, Haunani instructs local and national trainings.  Also, Haunani was a local Technology Counselor, which included implementing processes and methodologies to standardize and streamline the tax compliance cycle by utilizing internally developed software.  She also participates in KPMG’s national technology task forces.
