Allen is a Financial Services sector professional, focused on Insurance, who has spent his career analyzing and enhancing the CFO’s organization through people, processes, and technology improvements. For almost 20 years he has combined his analytical knowledge with his detailed systems experience to produce, plan, and lead global Finance solutions for his clients. His core experience are the following:

  • Process Decomposition with Regulatory Impact: Led a cross-functional team to perform current state finance/accounting process decompositions, comparing regulatory needs and leading practices to identify recommendations and develop prioritized roadmap options.
  • Finance Transformation: Led the Program Management Office for approximately 40 finance projects consisting of over $250m of spend. Work included coordinating strategy sessions, establishing program governance, and driving the execution of projects.
  • ERP Implementation: Leading the design and related implementation support activities for a $65M finance function redesign and ERP implementation across nine finance functions. Includes Chart of Account redesign, automation and efficiency plays, and major cross-functional Management Reporting improvements.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Business lead for a $15M FP&A design & implementation of SAP’s BPC product. Coordinated the design and roll-out of planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Also coordinated a global forecasting redesign with related Tagetik implementation.
  • Analytics / Visualization / Management Reporting: Led team in developing visualization of an approximately 100 page report into three concise dashboards. CEO and other executives understand areas of concern in minutes rather than days. Project resulted in faster searching/discovery of issues as well as crisp presentation of the findings.
  • Shared Services / COE Model: Aided in the optimization and roll-out of the FP&A and Accounting shared services functions at a Fortune 100 company. Enhanced roles and processes within the Center of Excellence (COE / shared service center) to deliver the desired analysis and FTE savings in conjunction with software and process enhancements.
