Dane Paulsen

Dane is a principal in KPMG’s Risk Assurance practice with more than 18 years of experience helping clients assess and manage their technology risks and delivering IT attestation and audit engagements. Dane leads KPMG’s Chicago-Metro Technology Risk Management practice. In this role, he leads teams in the performance of integrated audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing of IT applications; IT risk management services; Internal Audit projects; and control automation services. Dane’s current and past clients include some of the leading entities in the industrial market, consumer market, healthcare & pharmaceutical, technology services, and insurance industries.

Dane has significant experience assisting organizations with establishing and running their IT risk management and IT Internal Audit functions. In this role, he supports clients in identifying, assessing, and managing their technology risks and executing audits to provide assurance over multiple IT domains. Dane also assists clients with becoming compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley, including companies who have recently gone public and companies who need to remediate Material Weaknesses and Significant deficiencies related to IT. Dane serves a wide range of clients, including both Fortune 1000 companies to pre-IP companies.
