Ashley L. Peters

Ashley is a Director in KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services practice, which provides technical accounting, financial reporting, and other transactional support in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, IPO’s, accounting policy conversions and implementations, restatements and fresh start accounting.

She has more than nine years of experience in the financial services industry, in Audit and Advisory. Prior to joining Deal Advisory, she worked with KPMG in the Cayman Islands for two years in the Accounting Advisory Practice, where she specialized in accounting and disclosure requirements in the hedge fund industry. Prior to this she worked with KPMG in Cape Town, South Africa in the Financial Services Audit Group, specializing in asset management and regulatory requirements.

• Supported several large clients with technical accounting and financial reporting matters related to acquisitions and divestitures.
• Researched technical accounting guidance for external and internal advice. Technical accounting areas of significant experience include:

  • Topic 810: Consolidation
  • Topic 718: Compensation – Stock Compensation
• Assisted clients with assessment and implementation of new accounting standards and accounting standard updates.
