Chad is a Partner in KPMG LLP’s Financial Services Risk, Regulatory and Compliance solution with over 15 years of professional experience. This experience includes over 10 years with KPMG working with large complex financial services clients to transform the compliance program and improve risk management across all lines of defense. Chad also leads the delivery of testing services for the consumer protection agenda covering automate compliance testing, large scale consumer harm remediation and regulatory response, new product and service testing, and technology transformations.

Professional and industry experience

Chad brings substantial experience in the highly regulated financial services industry with a proven track record of successfully leading large, strategic advisory and audit engagements to help organizations achieve their strategic risk objectives and compliance goals.

• Directed the Compliance UAT test script development and testing program for the Implementing a new loan origination system. The scope included testing of system functionality related to numerous consumer compliance regulations including but not limited to TRID, HMDA, ECOA, FCRA, E-Sign, Flood requirements, as well as state and federal anti-predatory lending regulations.
• Managed a conduct, culture, legal, and compliance review at a large international investment bank and a top professional services firm focused on transforming the governance and risk management programs in response to issues identified by both regulators and internal risk management.
• Led projects at leading P2P payment transfer companies focusing on the identification of applicable regulatory requirements, control design and gap assessments, test script development, and a deep-dive review of the complaint program.
• Managed a project leveraging digital labor technologies and advanced analytics to automate the identification, download, ingestion, and redaction of PII for select bankruptcy filings where documents had been uploaded to public sources without using proper redaction techniques.
• Led the development of a custom review methodology and design of a Case Management tool to facilitate multiple large-scale, complex regulatory (e.g., Flood, SCRA) look back reviews to identify and quantify consumer harm.
• Led several compliance reviews across the consumer space (mortgage, home equity, credit card, etc.) to identify requirements, risks, and controls, and perform testing for consumer compliance regulations (ECOA, HMDA, TILA, RESPA, FDPA, FCRA, etc.)
