Nicole Porpiglia
Senior Manager, Tax
Nicole is a Senior Manager in KPMG LLP’s Trade & Customs practice in New York and has received her MBA from IE Business School and her B.A. from Emory University in May of 2010. Since joining KPMG, Nicole has assisted clients in the areas of import and export compliance, classification, Free Trade Agreements, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and implementation of the “First Sale” rule for valuing imported products in multi-tiered transactions.
Professional and Industry Experience
Before joining KPMG, Nicole worked for Macy’s Inc. as an inventory planner for 2 ½ years. Prior to working at Macys Nicole interned for Smith Barney for 3 years in the private wealth management division.
Nicole is responsible for assisting a broad range of U.S. multi-national and foreign-owned clients in a broad range of industries. Nicole assists companies to improve their global supply chains, engages in a broad range of cross-border trade research and tariff classification. Nicole’s current and past clients include leaders in the specialty retail, marketplaces, chemical, food and beverages, industrial manufacturing and oil and gas industries.
