David is an Indirect Tax Partner with an extensive range of global experience across a multitude of different indirect tax regimes in addition to being a Canadian indirect tax specialist. Originally from the UK, he moved to Canada seven years ago. His specialty industry areas include manufacturing, automotive , aerospace and defense and technology focused business, with a particular focus on large global supply chain or complex business structures.

David has worked in professional services for 30 years, the first 20+ were in the UK, where he led a major indirect tax practice while serving some of the firms largest and most complex clients. Prior to this, David served in the UK with HM Customs and Excise (HMRC). He has spent the last 22 years as a partner and was the global leader for a Big 4 Indirect Tax practice for over a decade.  This has resulted in his working extensively across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific region for a number of Fortune 50 companies. His role also led to significant interaction with various tax authorities around the world. 

David has been routinely interviewed by major newspapers and TV news stations on automotive industry related issues, is a regular speaker at tax conferences, and has been interviewed for indirect tax news articles in many countries around the world. He has also undertaken a number of speaking engagements on the impact of technology on the accounting and tax professions.
