Bob Rothery is a director in KPMG’s Washington National Tax (WNT) practice, focusing on Global Mobility Services. Based in San Diego, he has more than 25 years of experience consulting on the tax and payroll issues associated with inbound and outbound international assignments.   

As a member of the WNT practice, Bob assists KPMG’s Global Mobility Services professionals with resolving tax technical issues. He also is involved in the preparation and review of KPMG publications and presentation materials, and is a frequent speaker on global mobility topics. Bob is the U.S. lead contact for KPMG’s International Social Security Network. Prior to joining WNT, Bob was the leader of KPMG’s GMS practice in southern California. He started his career in KPMG’s Boston office, and began focusing on international tax issues while on assignment to KPMG’s Montreal office.

Bob holds a BA degree (English Literature), Harvard University and MS/MBA degree (Accounting) from Northeastern University, and is a Certified Public Accountant licenses in California, District of Columbia, and Massachusetts.
