Managing Director, State and Local Tax

A Managing Director with the Washington National Tax – State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, Philippe advises U.S. and multinational corporations on various global indirect tax including planning, supply chain restructuring, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and tax engine implementations.  Hehas provided indirect tax consulting and compliance services for clients in a broad range of industries including automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, IT, telecommunications, retail, finance, insurance and property development.

His experience includes:

  • Worked on the consumption tax workstream for the 2014 Puerto Rico tax reform project
  • Performed an internal audit of the indirect tax business processes of a multinational agrochemical company in its locations in Argentina, Brazil, China, and Malaysia as well as the shared services center responsible for accounts payable
  • Assisted multiple enterprise resource planning and tax engine global implementation projects as indirect tax subject matter expert
  • Performed an e-invoicing gap analysis in France and Poland for a large aerospace company

Philippe  also develops indirect tax training for the SALT practice, tracks global indirect tax administrative and legislative developments, and is a main contributor to Inside Indirect Tax, a global indirect tax monthly publication.

Philippe is the KPMG Global Indirect Tax Services (GITS) representative at the Tax Advisory Group (TAG) of the Business at OECD (BIAC) indirect tax working group as well as a member of the GITS Indirect Tax Policy Group, Digital Economy Group, and Knowledge Management Group.
