Recent Accomplishments

• Reduced the real property value for an Alabama auto manufacturer by $36,000,000 by reviewing assessor classification and record card data
• Created a methodology for identifying non-taxable cost components and successfully excluding them from assessment in states which allow for this segmentation of cost
• Implemented an interstate allocation factor for irregular route mobile equipment causing a reduction in market value in excess of $30,000,000 for a West Texas client
• Utilized recent case law to gain non-taxable status for crude oil being continuously, but temporarily staged in South Texas
• Attacked age-life classifications for a North Carolina auto parts manufacturer who retool 25% of their M&E annually due to changes in car model requirements
• Implemented multiple strategies which resulted in a 50% tax bill reduction for an Alabama cement manufacturing plant which was being represented by a competing firm in the prior years
• Reduced the value of a client’s corporate location by comparing asset density to population resulting in 66% reduction in market value
• Obtained pollution control exemptions in numerous states for taxpayers
