Loren Tama

Loren has over 15 years of experience serving financial services companies with KPMG, including over 11 years providing deal-related services. Loren’s breadth of experience, cultivated by advising clients on financial services transactions for more than a decade, have fortified his keen ability to quickly identify and assess complex industry and deal-specific risks and opportunities.

Loren focuses on providing deal advice to strategic and financial buyers and sellers in the financial services industry. He has participated in over 150 transactions in the financial services sector, assisting clients in the following deal-related scenarios:

• Financial due diligence advice on transactions in community, commercial, and mortgage banking; consumer and specialty lending; FinTech; brokerage; investment management and real estate;
• Client support in sell-side situations, including vendor assistance and vendor due diligence;
• Seamless transition between pre-deal due diligence and post-transaction integration/separation;
• Support in multiple government/bank assistance situations in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, including advisory services for FDIC-assisted transactions and bank recapitalizations in the United States.

Loren served in KPMG London’s Transaction Services Financial Services group from 2007 through 2009, where he worked on transactions in the UK and throughout Europe; he has advised on cross-border transactions in the US, UK, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
