Ryan is a partner in the Real Estate Tax practice at KPMG LLP. He has more than 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and advisory services to public and private companies in the real estate industry.
Ryan has broad experience in the area of income taxation for large, medium and closely-held businesses operating as flow-through entities, REITs and corporations in the real estate industry.
His relevant tax experience consists of:
- US federal and state tax compliance for REIT’s, partnerships and corporations;
- REIT due diligence for mergers and acquisitions of property and/or companies;
- Foreign in-bound structuring of real estate investments;
- Quarterly and annual calculations, review and documentation of ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48);
- Tax consulting regarding implementation of organizational structures.
- Subchapter K compliance and analysis with regard to IRC sections 704(b) and 704(c)
- State and local tax compliance with regard to nexus and withholding issues on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis
