Perry is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Advisory Services practice with more than 30 years of diverse industry and business development experience and expertise. As a cyber security leader, he’s been responsible for leading global teams of consultants in assisting enterprise s with the secure adoption of public cloud services and enhancement and development of a managed secure service built on Microsoft Technologies. He spent over 30 years in both private and professional services firms and has served in roles as global cloud security lead, technology innovation advisory, architect senior consultant at several global companies.

Professional and industry experience

Perry has substantial experience leading and coordinating IT advisory engagements across several industries. He has served as program manager with responsibility for planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery and implementation of cloud solutions; Cyber security lead with responsibilities for managing a global consulting team- and development of a native cloud managed detection and response service. He has also provided subject matter knowledge and guidance to a leading global company on the implementation of native cloud cyber security controls and security diagnostics to align closer to their enterprise security baseline

Global Cloud Security Lead - Azure

• Security lead for a global chemical company’s journey to cloud. Providing technical, operational guidance, strategic implementation of cloud security controls for secure enterprise adoption of cloud. Key areas include cloud compliance and governance, identity & access management, cloud log and SIEM integration, advance threat analytics, PaaS security framework, and secure hybrid network design and configuration.
• Security lead for a large online automotive retailer. Providing technical architecture and delivery of a hybrid content management system on Azure. Key areas included the security diagnostic of cloud security controls and compliance of the solution architecture, IT management and operation transformation, and cyber security transformation and log integration of cloud resources with existing SIEM solution.
• Served as security lead for large consumer goods company for the implementation of SAP and Big Data analytics within Azure. Providing security diagnostics of cloud security controls and implementation, Data protection, network architecture, Identity and access management designs, vulnerability management solution and integration with Cyber security operations.
• Served as cyber defense security lead providing leadership to a global security consulting team. Responsible for the delivery of solutions that protect enterprise systems, application and data by establishing policies, practices and tooling that prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of data leveraging Azure native security controls.

Technology Innovation Advisor

• Servicing as a technology innovation advisor to enterprise clients in the South region enterprise accounts. Providing advisory services to Enterprise technical and security leaders on how Microsoft technologies can solve key strategic business initiatives.
• Cloud and infrastructure lead providing architectural design sessions, system and cyber security monitoring assessment, development of cloud foundation and migration services, identification, and development of new cloud services opportunities across various industries and accounts within the south region.

Architect and Technology Strategist

• Serving as technical architect providing leadership with the south east region providing client strategy briefings, architectural design sessions, proof of concepts, and program management of partner and Microsoft technologies.
