Principal, National Tax Leader, Power and Utilities

Glenn Todd is a principal with the KPMG State and Local Tax practice in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. He serves as the Pittsburgh office tax leader and the Pennsylvania Business Unit State and Local Tax leader. Glenn has more than 20 years of combined state and local tax experience. Prior to joining the Pittsburgh office, Glenn served in the firm's Washington National Tax State and Local Tax practice, was a Legal Fellow for the Council On State Taxation (COST), and clerked at the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals.

Glenn’s experience includes advising on many aspects of multi-state tax matters for large multi-state organizations, including income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and business incentives. He has focused his practice on assisting his clients with the tax implications of business restructurings, industry specific due diligence projects related to the acquisition/disposition of assets or mergers and acquisitions, and other general consulting services.

Glenn has authored numerous articles and publications on various state and local tax topics for tax publications such as BNA’s tax portfolio services, CCH and State Tax Notes Today and is a frequent speaker on state and local tax topics. He and his team co-authored the American Lawyers Publisher’s text, Pennsylvania State Tax Handbook.

Glenn holds a BS degree in accounting from Duquesne University, a JD degree from Capital University Law School, and an LLM degree in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
