Juhi is an Associate in in KPMG’s New York City office. She received her B.S from Villanova University in May of 2018 and M.S from University of Mississippi in August of 2019. Since joining KPMG, Juhi has assisted clients with Duty Drawback, U.S import and export compliance, Post Entry Reviews, Data Analytics and Global Trade Automation.

Professional and industry experience

Before joining KPMG’s Trade and Customs group, Juhi worked with KPMG’s Business Tax Services group. She assisted on preparing federal and state tax returns, extensions, and other filings as well as researching evolving areas of tax law. Since her transition into KPMG’s Trade & Customs group, Juhi has been responsible for assisting companies to improve their global supply chains, engaging in a broad range of cross-border trade research, and incorporating the latest data analytics and automation technologies to help drive efficiencies and accuracies across various global trade related services.

Juhi’s trade compliance experience includes the following:

  • Implementation and process improvement of Duty Drawback Programs and submission of Duty Drawback claims to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for companies across multiple industries.
  • Monitoring regulatory and system changes required for the US Duty Drawback program (including reviewing customs regulations, tariff updates, and the CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR)).
  • Using technical tools to help companies review necessary data and track key metrics and performance indicators more efficiently and automatically for Post Entry Review, Drawback and Free Trade Agreement programs.
  • Future state design and implementation of data analytics and automation to support corrective actions that utilize industry benchmarks for compliance to significantly reduce the risk of import non-compliance.
  • Assisting multinational clients identify cost savings opportunities and assess return on investments through tariff mitigation tactics such as Duty Drawback, Section 232/301 Exclusions, etc.
  • Various industry research, automated process implementations and providing client training for compliance topics including but not limited country of origin, valuation and assists, free trade agreements, and reconciliation.
